Multi-tenant buildings at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus reach highest point

The Brightlands Chemelot Campus realizes new buildings for Sitech Services, Sekisui, Brightlands Materials Center, The Compound Company, Kembit, ZUYD University of Applied Sciences and Isobionics on campus Sittard-Geleen. These two buildings, named Brighthouse 220 and 240, reached their highest points today. A festive moment where the new name was exposed with investors, tenants and involved parties.

The buildings are designed by Pauwert Architecture from Eindhoven. BAM Bouw en Techniek (Building and Techniques) realizes the buildings. From these buildings, the collaboration at Chemelot between research & development and production gets intensified. The location at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus and the choice to accommodate more companies in one building, offer excellent possibilities for collaboration, sustainability and synergy advantage. The new tenants share facilities, knowledge and international networks with the other campus companies.

CEO Bert Kip from the Brightlands Chemelot Campus: “It’s not only about a new building at Brighthouse 220 and 240: we may also welcome new campus residents. Their arrival at campus is important to us – it strengthens one of our three ecosystems: that of chemical processes. Just while we stand for one of the biggest challenges of the chemical industry – the transition to a CO2 neutral chemical industry before 2050.”

The construction phase of Brighthouse 220 and 240 has started in January 2018, the delivery of the buildings is planned for the end of 2018, with an official opening in the beginning of 2019.
